When custom is the answer
Usually in three situations: a space with a non-standard size — a narrow corner, or a long room needing a table longer than anything stocked; a specific stone you want that none of the ready pieces use; or a piece that has to match furniture already in the room.
How it works
1. The measurements. You send the size of the space — length, width and available height — and a photograph of the room if you can. The photograph matters more than it sounds: it shows us the light, the floor colour and the neighbouring furniture.
2. Choosing the stone. We show you what is available, with the practical differences: which hides daily marks, which needs more care, which passes light. You can also request a sample to see and handle the stone before deciding.
3. Price and lead time. You get a final price and a lead time before paying anything. Nothing is cut before you agree.
4. Making it. The block is cut to size, the surface polished, the edges worked, and the base fitted.
5. Delivery. The piece is packed and delivered, and installed in place if it needs installing.
What sets the price
Four things: the stone — onyx and Italian Breccia cost more than local marble; the area in square metres; the thickness of the top, since every extra centimetre adds both weight and cost; and the shape and material of the base.
How long it takes
Simpler pieces are quicker; pieces needing unusual cutting or a purpose-made base take longer. The exact lead time comes with the quote rather than before it, because it depends on the block being available.
